We train hard, we lift weights, we push sleds, we run, we sweat — but we do it in a way that’s supportive, coached, and built for adults who want to get strong without the ego of a gym. You don’t need to be fit to start. You just need to start.

Better Coaching
I’m Tim — founder, coach, and the person who’ll be training you every session. I started Burn over 20 years ago with one goal: to bridge the gap between the elite, and the average person that just goes through the motions. That space in the middle for every day people who want to work harder, get better results, and feel better.
My coaching style is direct; i’ll tell you what needs to be improved, but understanding - i’m 39yrs old, 2 kids, and I don’t move as quickly as I used to!

Unlike most outdoor programs with a few light dumbbells and skipping ropes, we bring the whole gym outdoors. Barbells and plates, dumbbells and kettlebells, sled, rowing machine, rehab equipment, you won’t believe what we fit into one van each day

Equipment - we bring the entire gym outdours. More weights than you can lift, chin up bars, sled, rower, balls and kettlebells
Coaching - I’ve been a coach for 20+yrs, i’ve seen it all. This is my full time job. Im with you every step of the way
Classes - Both variety and frequency, we have something different every day, and multiple times per day. You’re not paying for a membership you can’t use
Community - Our members push each other, we’re all friends and share in each other’s success

We will train under the bridge on the concrete, corner of Broughton and Fitzroy St. This area is covered. Iwill notify you in advance

In most cases yes! We are mostly people aged 30+, everyone has a niggling injury here and there and we can work around them, perhaps change an exercise or two, and we can include more rehab to help fix the injury. And if you have advice from a physiotherapist, I can work on that plan with you as well
But if I genuinely think that your injury would preclude you from the majority of things and you wouldn’t get value from us, i’ll let you know in our initial consult

Absolutely not. Some of the really fit people you see training with us, theyre the finished product, not how they started!
We use different weights, rep ranges, exercise changes, to ensure we can cater to different levels in the same class

Our peak time classes, 6am/7am, hit around 10-12 people. The other classes are between 4 and 8 usually

Absolutely! Achieving your fitness goals are impossible without proper nutrition
We start all new Silver / Gold memberships with a 30min nutrition consult, and follow this up with more advice whenever you need it

Yes! One of the true benefits to being outdoors, we have a lot more space, and aren’t so sensitive to extra noise.
Typically new mums with babies attend at 10am, but honestly you’re welcome whenever
Dogs are always welcome as long as theyre tied up
Saturday morning we often have a few kids who come to class and play together
